Third announcement
This is the third and final announcement for Workshop on "The first year of science with X-shooter",
that will be held in Como, Italy, from October 19 to 22, 2010.

Registration
Registration is still possible and the late fee is 250 euro.
The registration fee covers the cost of the meeting room, morning and afternoon coffee/breaks, conference Proceedings.
Registration cancellations carried out before October 15 2010 will be totally refunded.
Social dinner payment (about 50euro/person) will be delivered during the registration in Como.
Registration will be open starting at 18:30 on the 18th.

Conference Venue and Accommodation
The conference will be held at the Palace Hotel and Centro Congressi in Como, just 2 minutes walk from the harbor and the train station.
For hotel booking, you can easily find many accommodations in the Como city-centre.

Program
Program is now available at the conference web site and as a pdf file downloadable here:

Even for late registrations, we will try to give anyone the possibility to deliver a talk and in case please contact the conference organizers.

Oral presentations
The time slots allocated to speakers are:

• 30 minutes total (25' + 5' for questions) for invited reviews
• 25 minutes total (20' + 5' for questions) for invited talks
• 15 minutes total (12' + 3' for questions) for contributed talks
• 10 minutes total (8' + 2' for questions) for short talks

Speakers are expected to adhere strictly to time limits.
We will have available in the conference room laptops for delivering PDF, PowerPoint or OpenOffice presentations.
We encourage you to bring your presentation as a file and use one of our laptops.
Speakers should expect to spend a few minutes verifying their set-up, if possible the day before their talk.
An assistant will be available half an hour before the beginning of the morning or afternoon sessions, and during coffee breaks.
The presentations will be deleted after the talks.

Proceedings
The Proceedings will be published in the Astronomische Nachricthen in Spring 2011.
Deadline for submitting manuscripts is December 15, 2010.
Instructions and allocated number of pages will be given during the conference.
