MS 0317.7-6647 ONS candidate
This is a soft weak source discovered in the filed of the near galaxy NGC 1313.
The only possible optical counterpart has mV=20.8, which implies
fX/fV >60. The simultaneous lack of radio emission seems
to role out the possibility of an extreme BL Lac object.
The identification of this source with an X-ray object in NGC 1313 would lead to
a luminosity of L=1040 erg s-1.
The PSPC spectrum (0.03 c s-1) is well fitted by a blackbody with
T ~ 0.2 keV, providing a luminosity of 1.7 1030 erg s-1 at
100 pc, where an infrared cirrus is also located.
