X-shooter 2010: in memory of R. Pallavicini

• This workshop will bring together specialists with expertise in different scientific areas, who will highlight key results from the first year of observations with X-shooter.
  The workshop is also intended to be a forum to discuss and share common experience in the reduction and analysis of X-shooter spectra.
  
  The workshop will be dedicated to the memory of Roberto Pallavicini, one of the most active promoters of X-shooter from the very beginning and a prominent figure of the Italian and international astronomical community.
