"DARKLIGHT" Post-Doctoral Fellowships at the Observatory of Brera – AAS Job Register ID 41236

(Link to Job Register announcement)

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in the DARKLIGHT cosmology program at the Osservatorio di Brera. Please find below the INAF official announcements and related application forms for the TWO currently available positions.

DARKLIGHT is funded by a 5-year Advanced Research Grant of the European Research Council (ERC). The project aims at improving models and techniques to extract cosmological information from galaxy redshift surveys, with particular focus on redshift-space distortions and their combination with other probes of large-scale structure. The new centre will be hosted in a specifically renovated building in the Merate premises of the Observatory, near Milan and at its peak of activity in 2014 will include five postdoctoral fellows and at least three PhD students. DARKLIGHT fellows and students will also benefit of interaction with members of the Euclid and VIPERS projects, of which OA-Brera is a leading participant.

DETAILS FOR APPLYING
The announcements are in WORD format, so that you can extract ANNEX 1 (Application form) and ANNEX 2 (Declaration), both of which need to be filled and signed, then scanned into a PDF to be emailed, together with all materials indicated in the announcement. This is formally required by INAF regulations.

1) Postdoctoral position "Modelling clustering and redshift-space distortions"
DARKLIGHT_job1_models

2) Postdoctoral position "Applications and tests of clustering and redshift-space distortion models"
DARKLIGHT_job2_applications

You are encouraged to apply to both positions. Unfortunately, for administrative reasons, to be considered for both you have to send separately two applications and the corresponding signed forms and application material. Letters from your references, though, can be sent only once and will be considered for both applications.
