Astronomical Virtual Observatory
AVO is a joint enterprise of four CNR Institutes in Italy: IFCTR
in Milano, IRA in
Bologna, IEI in Pisa, and IFSI
in Frascati realized in 1997 (no typo here, about 20 yrs ago!).
There are two main goals of the project:
-
Put on-line and make easily accessible to the astronomical community astronomical
data, both images and catalogs, using a friendly, flexible interface.
-
To study and develop new instruments for the interrogation of data archives.
My involvement was in the
-
mail interrogation of Skyeye
-
Integration of Einstein Images in Skyeye
