JPL has been involved in space science missions for more than 50 years. Over this time the institution has led and participated in astronomy and physics missions ranging from IRAS and COBE to Spitzer and JWST. We provide an overview of JPL Astronomy and Physics science and mission activities, with an emphasis on our technology capabilities and investments in this area. We hope that this presentation will provide a starting point for discussions on future collaborations. Todd Gaier is the Chief Technologist and Charles Lawrence is the Chief Scientist for JPL's Astronomy and Physics Directorate. They are both Senior Research Scientists and JPL Fellows.
