Both substructures from the optical galaxy distribution, and bulk motions detected in the X-ray hot gas are quite common in galaxy clusters. They reflect the dynamical status of clusters from different angles. By combining the new optical substructure analysis algorithm -- tree analysis and the independent X-ray redshift measurements, it is possible to connect the optical substructures with the X-ray bulk motions for the first time. A more detailed and complete scene of the complex merging process can be revealed. This procedure has been successfully applied to real systems like A85, A2142 etc.
