The Fast Radio Burst (FRBs) are millisecond duration dispersed radio transients signals which have now been observed at various radio telescopes. Few tens of models have been proposed for explaining their nature, ranging from events at cosmological redshifts in the 0.5 to 2 interval and distances of up to 3 Gpc to lower energy events with a galactic origin. Follow-ups at other wavelenghts have recently unveiled possible counterparts, suggesting that indeed there might be more than one family of sources. In the presentation, after reviewing the main properties of the FRBs, it will be given an update about the various streams of the research looking at these targets.
