I will review our current theoretical understanding of the ICM thermodynamics in terms of our entropy-based Supermodel. Specifically, I will address the following issues: equilibrium disposition of the ICM; correlated fits to the X-ray and SZ observables; origin of the cool-core/non-cool core dichotomy; ICM/dark matter connections; astrophysics of cluster outskirts, including non-thermal support; universality of the ICM pressure profiles?
