Since the discovery that GRBs are distant events, the fireball model began the classical model that explain all observations of these objects. Unfortunately, the discoveries of the Swift satellite have put this model more and more in fault, at a point where it becomes rational to ask if the fireball model can still be considered as the standard model. In this seminar, after a short introduction of the GRB history for those who are non-familiars to these objects, I will present the fireball model and will review some recent works that put into doubt this model to be standard
